On Saturday, April 18, Galveston ISD faculty, staff, and administrators will spread out across Galveston Island for GISD Give Back Day, a morning of service supporting local nonprofit organizations and community partners.

Volunteers will spend the morning working alongside local nonprofit organizations on projects that strengthen community spaces and support programs serving Galveston families.

You can help make these projects possible.

For $250, local businesses and community supporters can become a GISD Give Back Day Shirt Sponsor. Sponsors will have their logo included on the official volunteer shirts worn by participants throughout the day. The shirts are being produced by the GISD Tor Store, and sponsor logos will also be recognized on the GISD Give Back Day event webpage.

Your support helps cover the cost of supplies needed for volunteer projects across the island.

GISD Give Back Day is a partnership between Galveston ISD and United Way of Galveston, bringing together educators, nonprofit organizations, and community partners for a morning of service from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The day begins with a pep rally kickoff at Courville Stadium, where volunteers gather before heading out to project sites across the island.

Sponsors are invited to join us for the kickoff celebration and return afterward for the Give Back Day after party at Texas Tail Distillery, where volunteers come together to celebrate the morning’s work.

It is a simple way to show that you have the backs of the educators and staff who support Galveston students and families every day.
