About the Best Boards Conference
Galveston’s leading nonprofit organizations are coming together and heading to Houston on March 27 to attend Rice University’s Best Boards Conference! Back by popular demand, UWG is chartering a bus to make it easy for Galveston nonprofit board members and executives to attend and learn together.
This annual, one-day conference brings together nonprofits from across the greater Houston region, equipping board members and staff with the tools to lead and collaborate more effectively and strengthen their organizations. Who should attend? Galveston nonprofit staff, board members, and community partners who want to learn about organizational governance and leadership strategies are the target audience.
The 2027 Best Board’s theme, Stronger Together, explores the board’s role as advocate in its fullest sense to leverage their influence in service of mission.
See the recap from our trip together last year.
