The Moody family has a long history of philanthropy in Galveston, Texas and Virginia. The Mary Moody Northen Endowment continues that tradition with the fourth Moody Mansion market day that presents Galveston non-profit organizations and agencies the opportunity to raise money and awareness in a “yard sale” market and resource/information fair. This will be an opportunity for bargain and service hunters alike.

United Way of Galveston is partnering with the Mary Moody Northen Endowment to present “Moody Mansion Community Market” on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm on the grounds of Moody Mansion.

• Organization volunteers and staff can clean their closets at home and shelves at the office and donate items to be sold at the Market to raise funds in support of their agency.
• Organizations will have the chance to share information about their day-to-day work, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities with Market guests.
• Each organization is responsible for its own set up (beginning at 6 am), sales transactions, and clean up on the day of the Market.
• Moody Mansion will provide two (2) chairs and one (1) 6-8 foot table for each organization. (You can bring more if arranged with Amylin Hicks in advance).
