The rain didn’t stop fans of the Ball High Tors from showing up and showing out on Friday, September 6, 2024! United Way of Galveston was invited to hand out spirit fans to Tor fans, and we were able to see lots of friends, new and old. Like we said, the rain doesn’t stop the Tors!

First, please join us in thanking Coach Jerald Temple for inviting us to participate during our Paint the Town United campaign in partnership with Galveston ISD! And we would like to thank Maria Rodriguez for making sure we were set up and ready to roll with a prime space to greet attendees when they arrived. We would also like to thank Shara Archer, Alexander Wattier, Zahrah Ektefaei Wattier, and Maryanne Termini for volunteering to help us! Zahrah took amazing photos, Shara pulled in all of her students and friends and kids’ teammates to join us in the photos, Alexander helped pass out fans, and Maryanne got everything in the stadium and back into the car so we can use it for another (hopefully drier) game. And finally, thank you for taking photos with us! If you would like to add your image to our social gallery, add #UWGplusGISD to your photos and they will show up below.

We will see you on Tuesday on the Volleyball Courts and on Thursday at the JV Game, until then, please enjoy our Paint the Town United signs and don’t forget to share your photos of those, also. We are trying to raise awareness about our fundraising campaign to raise $1m for Galveston nonprofit agencies improving health, education, and financial stability. The signs are coming down VERY SOON, so snap your pics before they disappear!
