A Born Learning community takes all of us, and it takes several steps! Here are a few quick ones you can take today!

  1. Take our 1-minute quiz! Are you Baby Smart? BY Mother’s Day, 2023 (to help us get a substantial baseline measurement; we will measure again in Spring 2024)
  2. Visit the Born Learning Trail at Adoue Park with one or more of your little ones!
  3. Take a selfie on the Born Learning Trail and send it to lwhite@uwgalv.org before May 15 to be eligible to win a gift card for $100 and other prizes!
  4. Visit the following links (provided by Nia Cultural Center) to learn more about how YOU can shape your baby’s brain development:
    1. Talking Counts
    2. Activities to encourage speech
    3. Activities and Ideas for RIGHT NOW to learn and grow together with your baby
    4. Brain Builders Meet-Up Registration
    5. Galveston Community Resources
      1. Baby Talk Class @ Rosenberg Library – Every Tuesday at 9:00 am

Galveston will be a city where every infant born is born learning.

A partnership between the City of Galveston’s Families, Children, and Youth Board, Nia Cultural Center, Better Parks for Galveston, and United Way of Galveston.

Have you visited Galveston’s First Born Learning Trail yet? It’s at Adoue Park, 710 12th Street in Galveston.
