Beginning September 1, we are working around the clock to raise funds for Galveston nonprofit organizations and programs that are directly improving health, education, and financial stability.

We are going to workplaces across Galveston island to invite people to pledge to give to these worthy causes via payroll deduction in 2025. Payroll deduction through United Way of Galveston is an affordable and reliable way to get your charitable donation to the organizations and programs that need it most. It’s reliable because United Way of Galveston has 100+ years’ experience with payroll deduction and we are THE local experts in this field. It’s affordable because your intended annual gift can be divided across all 12 or 24 or 26 (whichever is applicable) pay periods at your workplace. Suddenly, a $500 donation is more attainable because when it’s divided over 24 pay periods, it’s about $21. Your donation, multiplied by 12/24/26 pay periods, multiplied by all of the other people who agree to join in the cause, add up VERY QUICKLY!

Those donations are critical to the nonprofit organizations and programs that make life better for people on the island. Your donation can go to the United Way of Galveston General Fund, or a specific Partner Agency. Either way, 100% of your donation goes exactly where you specify.
